TAYLOR CONDRON

I'm an international student from Houston, Texas pursuing my masters in marine biology at JCU. I am interested in how coastal restoration research, like Blue Carbon, can be directly applied to policy. My master's research is focused on estimating carbon sequestration within a naturally restored seagrass meadow in Cairns Harbour. Using both soil core sampling and remote sensing imagery, I hope to assess the timing of seagrass meadow recovery to better inform future carbon sequestration models of coastal ecosystems.
